Funny! I guess it comes from all of the Bible story illustrations they see day in and day out! I guess it is better than them dressing up like rockers or something!
Hmm... Jude may look better as; maybe Bruce Springsteen than Mary. I'm not so worried about the rocker (unless it's KISS or something) Oh, man... I remember when my dad confronted me about dressing like Michael Jackson (circa 1983) next it was Def Leppard or something. Finally i settled on Dylan. He really just dresses like a human, and rocks out way more than anyone else.
yes, I definitely agree that JUDE should find someone other than Mary to dress like! I was thinking about avoiding the dress of the less-than-modest FEMALE rockers! :) Believe it or not, many little girls have female rock stars as their idols. Sheltering is good, in my opinion! (Wise to what is good, innocent to what is evil!)
i think MOST girls have one of the pop stars as their idol. their lifestyle is something i definitely counsel my girls on. now if they see commercials or hear ads promoting some kind of worldly event aimed at pre-teen girls they recognize not only the vanity of the event, but the craftiness and deception of the advertisers(same's true for breakfast cereal ads)
